DIABETES MELLITUS
Diabetes chronically associated with abnormal high levels of sugar - all types of carbohydrate food eaten are converted to sugar - even if you stop take raw sugar either syrup or granulated, most carbohydrate food will be converted to sugar within the system of the body, not necessarily the sugar consumed by every individual, which is otherwise known as glucose) in the blood.
Glucose in the blood system are normally lowered with Insulin produced by pancreas.
Defective Pancreas will fail to produce Insulin, therefore the insufficient Insulin or defective production of insulin and or total absence of Insulin causes diabetes.
There are two types of diabetes and they are named as type 1 and type 2. I have discussed type 1 in my article with ezinearticles.com
Insulin-dependent patient are classified as Type 1 and, while non-insulin-dependent diabetes, or juvenile onset and adult onset diabetes is now known as type 2.
Below are the most featured Symptoms of Diabetes:
Increased urine output,
Thirst,
Hunger, and
Fatigue.
Diabetes is diagnosed by glucose in the blood content of the body).
It is an established fact that major complications of diabetes are classified as ACUTE and CHRONIC.
Let us consider acute complications:
1. Hyperglycemia is dangerously elevated blood sugar,
2. While Hypoglycemia is abnormal low blood sugar, Hypoglycemia may occur due to diabetes medications and the most rear case is not due to diabetes medications but cause(s) of Hypoglycemia in human body who do not and had never taken diabetes medications are still under studies.
We need to consider Chronic Complications as well, and below are the results of chronic complications:
1. Deffective blood vessels is otherwise referred to as disease of the blood vessels (both small and large blood vessels) which may damage the following body system
1. feet,
2. eyes,
3. kidneys,
4. nerves, and
5. heart defective may occur, this is most recently referred to cardiovascular arrest.
Consult your physician when any of the symptoms surfaced
